Background

A cache of weapons has been discovered by a lone Musashi inside a container terminal on Paradiso. He tipped off local Panoceanian forces. Simultaneously, a local Ariadnan informant (an Irmandinha hooker working the sprawls) sent a message to the Kossack representation on the planet. They managed to send an assault team of the Force de Réaction Rapide Mérovingienne. Hopelessly out-gunned, the Ariadnan managed to reach the armoury first but were rapidly annihilated.

Turn 1 (Merovingian Rapid Response Force)

The first turn saw Merovingian linked team advancing towards the armory. Bu doing this, some of the Briscards had to cross a Nisse sniper line of fire. It was the start of the difficulties for the FRRM, and of a long series of kills by accurate fire of Panoceanian forces. Although the team was not broken, it lowered its Ballistic bonus after the very first order, which had tremendous consequences for the rest of the game. If you add to this the fact that one of the Chasseurs had missed his infiltration deployment, and no one could seriously threaten the long range Panoceanians.

Turn 1 (PanOceania)

In Pano's active turn, the HMG HI proved devastating, although Sniper ARO fire from the Briscards disabled its auxilia (FO) wingmen. It even managed to brush off the explosion of a mine (lucky 18 roll). At the end of that turn, Panoceanian had practically neutralized the Briscards team, including the dangerous Heavy Rocket Launcher.

Turn 2 (Merovingian Rapid Response Force)

In its second turn, the Merovingians managed to seize the objective inside the Armory. But the placement of both the HMG HI and Nisse sniper prevented them from taking the second objective and more importantly to holding the room.

Man of the Match - Nisse Sniper

The Nisse managed to take out most of the opposing team in ARO after taking some cover (Prone) to be safer. Even both snipers on the FRRM team did not manage to dislodge it from its position on top of the silo.

BFU - Doctor gets killed while crossing the road

During first turn of the game, the 112 doctor tried to go help revive a member of his team to keep the link to 5. This failed as he was instantly killed by the Nisse while crossing empty space to reach the victim.

Final Summary

Biggest learning: don't let good snipers or HMG cover the whole terrain. If they are placed in such a good position (roofs or various elevations with cover or sufficient armor), they should become absolute priority targets by front line units in the first turn (HMG, RL or snipers themselves or camo + fire).
